What are we doing?
Math: We took the benchmark test this week. We take it at the beginning, middle and end of the year. We will finish up adding and subtracting fractions and have a test next week.
Writing: Opinion writing
Reading: Nonfiction text structure
Science: Beginning Space Unit next week
Social Studies: Research about the first Thanksgiving, continued Pilgrim game by writing peace treaties
Health: Agreeing on Classroom Guidelines and Focusing on Positive Character Traits
Spelling List: Suffixes -ible, -able

Notes from the Teachers
*Report cards for second quarter & last year’s PAARC scores are being mailed home today. In today’s Friday folder you will find an informational packet on how to read the PAARC results. If you have any questions, we will be sending a Parent/Teacher Conference sign up sheet out soon or feel free to contact us any time.
*Please write your child’s name inside all coats/jackets. Our lost and found is overflowing!
* Just a reminder that we are collecting Box Tops at Lewis School. Our school gets 10¢ for each Box Top turned in. Thanks for your donations!
* Popcorn is sold every Friday for 25¢.
* Our next PBIS incentive for students who make good choices will be a “Winter Olympics” themed party with races and more.
* Second quarter report cards will be mailed home this Friday.
