What are we doing? Math: We will finish up adding and subtracting fractions and have a test next week. Writing: Opinion writing Reading: Nonfiction text structure Science: Read non-fiction text on planets Social Studies: Took final Pilgrim test Health: Talking about Energy Shifters to get back to calm Spelling List: Suffixes -ous, -sion, -ion, -ation famous, invention, election, furious, imagination, education, nervous, explanation, various, decision	Upcoming Dates: 1/18- No School-            MLK Jr. Day 1/29- Winter Carnival at        Lewis School 5-6:30pm 2/1- Parent/Teacher Conferences 8:30am-3:00pm 2/2- Parent/Teacher         Conferences 5-8 PM   2/3-Parent/Teacher         Conferences 5-8 PM 2/22- Black History Month presentation at CMS, 6-7pm
Notes from the Teachers *Report cards were mailed home this week. Included in them were your child’s 4th grade PARCC scores. *On January 29 Lewis School will have a Winter Carnival! A dinner of a hot dog, chili, chips, cake, and lemonade will be available from 5-6:30pm for $4 a plate. Games will be from 5:30-6:30pm for 25¢ each. Please support Lewis School by attending this fundraiser! *Parent/Teacher conference sign-up sheets are included in this week’s Friday folder. * Popcorn is sold every Friday for 25¢. * Ms. Vaughn is out of Clorox wipes. If you are able to donate any it would be greatly appreciated!
