Notes from the Teachers
*Note about homework: You may have noticed that your fifth grader is not bringing a lot of written homework home this year. Most homework assignments will be work that was not finished during class time. If your child uses class time wisely, it’s likely that he or she will not have homework very often. Please encourage him or her to use the extra time they have to read or practice math skills.
*Daily reading practice- Practicing reading at home is the most important thing your child can do to increase his or her reading abilities. Please encourage your child to read for at least 20-30 minutes each night.
*Students are encouraged to practice ST math at home- visit web.stmath.com |
